· A little background
Drumbeat Safaris was founded in 1996 by Dutch Annelies Zonjee and Johan Knols.
After having studied tourism in the Netherlands and working as lodge-managers in the Serengeti and the Okavango Delta, they decided to start their own luxury mobile safari company in Botswana.

Annelies runs the office in Maun and is responsible for the training of the kitchen and housekeeping staff. Your safari chef has had an in-house training and will surprise you with delicious home made meals.
For years, Johan was the only professional guide within the company, leading tours through the wilderness. But for the last 4 years also other knowledgeable, professional guides have been showing the guests all the beauty Botswana has to offer.
In 2007 Johan decided to leave Botswana and the company has been taken over by Annelies completely.

We believe that a safari should be a holiday. Besides useful information, you get ample time to relax, either in our private camp or in a luxury lodge.
Since most of our trips are private, you set the pace.
Africa is great to unwind.
